This significant cultural festival presents a variety of concerts, encompassing both classical and contemporary music, under the artistic direction of Prof. Thomas Albert. The event series extends to Jever, Papenburg, Cuxhaven, Verden, Clemenswerth, Dedesdorf, and Austria.

The opening evening of the Musikfest Bremen features nine stages around the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Town Hall, and Roland. Bremen's Mayor and Cultural Senator, Andreas Bovenschulte, stated that music brings people together and transcends borders at the opening reception of the festival.
Prof. Albert also emphasized the opportunities in cooperation with the surrounding area for the development of the cultural center around the Town Hall and Roland. He particularly highlighted the importance of developing the Festspielhaus Glocke as part of the cultural center.
