Music career seemingly at a halt for Brock Lindow, until revitalization by band Paradise Slaves post 36 Crazyfists.

Brock Lindow and the Evolution of Paradise Slaves

Brock Lindow, the former vocalist of the renowned band 36 Crazyfists, has taken a new direction with the formation of his latest project, Paradise Slaves.

Lindow announced that he would not be participating in months-long tours with Paradise Slaves, citing a desire to focus more on being a dad. This decision comes after missing precious milestones with his daughter due to touring commitments.

The formation of Paradise Slaves, which includes past and present members of Diecast and drummer Ryan Manning, was confirmed in 2019. The band's debut album, With Hell In His Eyes, was released earlier this year on May 2, 2025.

The album, produced by Jim Fogarty who has worked with bands like Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, and Shadows Fall, is heavily influenced by New England music. The sound of Paradise Slaves is described as being a lot like 36 Crazyfists, but with a focus on hard rock and a more melodic approach.

One of the more personal compositions on With Hell In His Eyes is Dreamers, a thumping, emotionally charged anthem that draws inspiration from the difficulties Lindow and his wife Jade faced when Jade emigrated from South Africa to join him in Anchorage.

Lindow has made a conscious effort to not repeat himself in the songwriting for With Hell In His Eyes. The album is a testament to his growth as a musician and his commitment to creating fresh, impactful music.

While Lindow has stepped away from 36 Crazyfists, the band is still active and currently in the writing process for a new album, aiming for a release next year through Ferret Music.

Despite not having current plans for a 36 Crazyfists reunion, Lindow has not ruled out the possibility for the future. Until then, fans can look forward to the powerful music that Paradise Slaves continues to produce.
