Murdoch opines that Khan, the current mayor, should desist from his constant political rantings

Murdo argued that it was inappropriate for Khan to delve into national politics, stating that it was embarrassing for the Mayor to be involved in such matters. He maintained that Khan's role as the Mayor of London should be focused on local issues, and his involvement in national politics was not fitting.
This argument was not the first time Khan had spoken publicly on a national topic. Prior to his involvement in national politics in connection with calls to address UK rail infrastructure funding cuts around January 2024, Khan had made a public statement regarding pressures on government funding and concerns about rail safety and jobs.
However, the current argument was initiated by Khan's attacks on Trump, which prompted a debate about the appropriateness of his involvement in national politics. Murdo's stance was clear: he believed that Khan should focus on his duties as the Mayor of London and leave national politics to those who are more suited to handle such matters.
