Municipal Road Renovation Begins: Pingarten to Taxöldern Closed Until October 17
The long-awaited renovation of the municipal connecting road (GVS) from Pingarten to Taxöldern begins this week. The road, currently in poor condition, will be closed to traffic until October 17, affecting travel between the two towns.
The €197,000 contract for the renovation was awarded to Huber-Rappl from Rötz. Mayor Hoffmann assures residents that the municipality is committed to completing the asphalt works on schedule.
During the closure, motorists will need to take a detour. Options include the route via Fuhrn and Pissau or via Bodenwöhr and Erzhäuser.
The municipality has planned for the disruption. Bus drivers will coordinate with parents to transport children safely. Primary school children will be cared for by the bus company Hauck.
The road closure is expected to last until October 17, with no direct travel between Pingarten and Taxöldern during this period. The municipality is working to minimize disruption, ensuring safe transportation for children and managing detours for motorists.
