Wind gust locks handyman in 13th floor of new building - Munich Firefighters Rescue Worker Trapped on 13th Floor Balcony
In a dramatic rescue operation, Munich's fire department saved a worker trapped on the 13th floor of an unfinished high-rise. Strong winds had slammed the apartment door shut, preventing access from both inside and out.
The incident began when a powerful gust of wind closed the high-security door, leaving the worker stranded on the balcony. Firefighters initially struggled to open the door, highlighting the building's robust security measures. Realising the urgency of the situation, they swiftly deployed a ladder truck. At approximately 47 metres high, the firefighters reached the worker and successfully rescued them unharmed.
The swift response and professionalism of Munich's fire department ensured a safe rescue. The strong winds posed a significant challenge, but the use of an aerial platform proved crucial in saving the worker from the high-rise balcony.
