Munich authorities have uncovered widespread labor violations during recent inspections. Over 100 cases of irregularities were found, including underpayment and illegal employment practices. The checks involved 57 businesses and around 150 workers across multiple sectors.

Inspections targeted 57 companies in Munich, with officials questioning roughly 150 employees. The focus was on compliance with the statutory minimum wage of €13.90 per hour. Authorities suspect around 30 cases where workers were paid less than the legal rate.

More than 100 instances of minimum wage violations were recorded. Additionally, inspectors identified 50 cases where employers failed to pay social security contributions. Illegal employment of foreign workers was found in 23 cases, while four instances of bogus self-employment were uncovered.

The affected industries included hair salons, hospitality, accommodation services, transportation, and construction. No specific details were released about the number of transport and logistics firms inspected or their violations.

The inspections revealed significant breaches in employment law, from wage theft to undeclared work. Authorities will now take further action against the businesses involved. The findings highlight ongoing challenges in enforcing labor standards across key sectors.
