Get ready, Munich football fans! TSV 1860 Munich, the third- division powerhouse, is adding some Bundesliga flair to the team. Max Christiansen, a 28-year-old defensive midfielder, is joining the ranks, fresh from Hannover 96.

A former U-national player, Christiansen even snagged silver at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Before putting on the red and white of 1860 Munich, Christiansen racked up 57 appearances in the 1st Bundesliga for Ingolstadt and Greuther Fuerth, and 93 in the 2nd Bundesliga, with a most recent stint at Hannover. As the eighth new addition to the 60ers, he's following in the footsteps of Thomas Daehne, the latest goalkeeper to land in Munich after Holstein Kiel got relegated from the Bundesliga.
