All Details About the New Album "Prizefighter" - Mumford & Sons unveil Prizefighter and a long-awaited Berlin return in 2025

Mumford & Sons have announced their sixth studio album, Prizefighter, just a year after their chart-topping comeback record Rushmere. The band, now performing as a trio, will also return to Berlin for the first time in a decade as part of their 2025 European tour.

The new album follows the success of Rushmere, which saw the group return to their folk roots and reach number one in the UK. Frontman Marcus Mumford recently described the band as being in their creative prime, crediting Pharrell Williams as a key inspiration during this period.

Prizefighter was produced by Aaron Dessner, who also worked on their 2015 album Wilder Mind. The band recorded enough material for multiple albums in just ten days, resulting in a 14-track release featuring guest appearances from Hozier, Chris Stapleton, Gigi Perez, and Gracie Abrams. Abrams, in particular, played a significant role in production and is featured on the track 'Badlands'.

The band's upcoming tour will include major festival slots, such as BST in London and Rock in Rio in Brazil. This follows a successful European run after Rushmere, which saw them perform in cities across the continent.

The album Prizefighter is set for release in 2025, with the band's tour kicking off shortly after. Fans in Berlin will see them live again after a ten-year absence, while the record's collaborations and folk-influenced sound mark a new phase for the trio.
