Mumbai LitFest 2025 blends literature, dance and nature in a vibrant celebration
The Lit Live! Mumbai LitFest 2025 is set to captivate audiences with a delightful blend of literature, dance, and nature. Kicking off on November 7, 2025, the festival promises a vibrant programme that includes storytelling through dance, a nature trail, and a tabla-accompanied performance of 'The Zakir Hussain Story'.
The festival begins with an inauguration at the Tata Theatre from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, featuring international digital expert Christian Stocker. Adding a touch of charm and joy is 'The Little Festival' for children, which includes a picnic with prominent playwrights like Ashutosh Potdar, Kaizad Gherda, Shikha Talsania, and Vinita Belani.
From January 17 to 19, 2025, the festival welcomes renowned authors such as Arundhati Roy, Amitav Ghosh, and Kiran Desai. New voices like Omar Musa and Sam Dalrymple will also make an appearance. Literary enthusiasts can look forward to book launches, including Shobhaa De's 'The Sensual Self' and Jerry Pinto's 'A Good Life', which will be discussed with chairperson Faye D'Souza. Poetry lovers can enjoy the Ode-O-Meter event on November 8 at the Little Theatre from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, featuring poems from around the world.
