Multitude Gathers for Summer Concert Staged by Vanemuine Theater in Tartu's Scene
The Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu, Estonia, is gearing up for an exciting start to its 156th season. The opening festival, scheduled for August 23, 2025, will culminate in a grand gala concert at 7 p.m.
This special event will showcase highlights from the works of the renowned Swedish musical director, Georg Malvius, at the Vanemuine Theatre. The concert will take place at the theatre's main venue, located at Vanemuise 6, Tartu.
The gala concert will feature an impressive lineup of six soloists who will share the stage with the symphony orchestra. Among them are Riccardo della Sciucca (tenor, Italy), Kadi Jürgens (mezzo-soprano), Brett Pruunsild (baritone), Federico Mechelli Uhl (violin), Mari Ellen Lutsar (cello), and Helin Pihlap (mandolin).
It's not the first time the Vanemuine Theatre has put on a spectacular show. In fact, the theatre has been hosting an annual summer concert for the past 15 years. This year's summer concert took place on July 27 in Kassitoome Valley, Tartu, and a recording of this event will be broadcast on ETV on August 2 at 10:20 p.m.
