Multiple Ukrainian drones brought down over Crimea within a 30-minute timeframe.
🚨 Breaking News! 🚨
Early Saturday morning, the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly launched an attack on Russian territory using aircraft-type drones.
From 7:30 to 8:00 AM, the air defense systems of the Russian military successfully neutralized four of these UAVs over the Republic of Crimea.
Reports suggest that during the night of April 26, a stunning 45 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian territory. Out of these, 27 were destroyed in the Kursk region, 16 in the Belgorod region, one in Rostov, and one in Lipetsk, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense's official Telegram channel.
A few days ago, on April 25, a Ukrainian drone strike in the Belgorod region claimed the lives of two civilians and left one critically injured. No clear military targets were mentioned in the reports regarding this attack.
On the other hand, Russian sources hinted at "scattered" Ukrainian troops lingering in the Kursk region following cross-border operations. However, specific information about drone usage in this context was not detailed.
Ukrainian officials have not openly admitted responsibility for these attacks. President Zelensky has consistently emphasized that Ukraine's territorial integrity is not up for negotiation and has criticized continued Russian assaults despite past ceasefire proposals.
Notably, Ukrainian forces have been engaged in counteroffensives near Pokrovsk, recovering 16 square kilometers of territory between March and April 2025. They have relied heavily on drone-dominated tactics to repel Russian armored assaults. Ukrainian reports tend to focus on defensive operations and regaining lost territory rather than disclosing cross-border strikes.
