Multiple Stuttgart Football Fans Await Last Matchday with Bated Breath
VfB Stuttgart Switches Jersey Sponsor Hours Before DFB-Pokal Final
Stuttgart/Berlin—Surprise sponsor change for VfB Stuttgart just hours before the DFB-Pokal final.
In a last-minute move, VfB Stuttgart announced that their original jersey sponsor would be replaced. Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) will now be featured on the chests of the Swabians, as the club revealed the shift was necessitated by business considerations.
The previous sponsor, Winamax, a French sports betting and online poker provider, was not mentioned by name in the club's statement, indicating potential discord between the two parties. The special jersey with the old sponsor, which fans had paid up to 110 euros for, will not be worn.
"We won't let it rest: We will contact all jersey buyers in the coming week and show our appreciation," said marketing chief Rouven Kasper. This change comes ahead of VfB Stuttgart's final against Arminia Bielefeld, scheduled for 8 pm.
The collaboration between VfB Stuttgart and Winamax was originally set to last until 2026 and was scheduled to end prematurely this season. Reports suggest that Winamax may owe VfB Stuttgart up to 2.5 million euros[2][3], which could lead to a legal dispute.

The last-minute change in sponsors for VfB Stuttgart, now featuring Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, may affect their upcoming European football leagues and Premier League positions since the special jersey with the old sponsor, previously provided by Winamax, will not be worn in the DFB-Pokal final against Arminia Bielefeld. This shift in partnership could potentially disrupt the club's financial standings, as there have been reports suggesting a possible debt of up to 2.5 million euros owed by Winamax to VfB Stuttgart.
