A Noxious Streak of Anti-Semitism in the City of Love 💔

multipleJewish establishments in Paris defaced with green pigment - Multiple Parisian Jewish establishments were found smeared with green pigment.

Straight up, no one's taken credit for this sickening act yet. Check out the video from that security camera at the Shoah Memorial—some sketchy dude in black, marring the memorial with green paint, man! 🤢🤮

Bruno Retailleau, France’s Interior Minister, ain't mincing his words, he's flat-out disgusted by those disgusting acts aimed at the Jewish community. He spilled his guts on the X online service and even penned a letter to AFP, calling for reinforced security measures at Jewish institutions. Why? It's 'cause of the Jewish harvest festival, Shavuot, which goes down from Sunday evening till Tuesday evening, you feel me? 🕯️

Anne Hidalgo, the Paris Mayor, ain't got no time for anti-Semitism, stating that she "strongly condemns" these intimidations, declareing it got no business in the city or the republic.

Yonathan Arfi, the President of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (Crif), feels a world of sadness and outrage when he sees the disrespected Jewish institutions.

Isaac Herzog, the Israeli President, is all shocked by these jacked-up Par-ee antics. He urged the French authorities to act swiftly and grove the miscreants responsible, so they can shield the Jewish community from bigotry and assaults of any sort. You should know that Herzog's grandpappy was a rabbi in one of the vandalized synagogues, so that hits home real hard.

The Israeli embassy in France is just as appalled, expressing horror at what they're calling a coordinated anti-Semitic attack. The statement goes on to show unity with the Jewish community and confidence in the French authorities, hoping they'll nab the culprits. The embassy also dropped some knowledge about the recent turmoil over the past couple of weeks, suggesting it's stirred up more than just trouble for Israel, but also for Jewish communities worldwide.

French President Emmanuel Macron wanted to kick some Israel sandals last week, demanding "sanctions" from the EU if Israel doesn't let in enough aid to the Gaza Strip under the current humanitarian crisis. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar didn't hold his tongue, accusing Macron of being on a crusade against the Jewish state.
