TSV Singen and FV Ravensburg Prepare for Baden-Württemberg Football Oberliga Season

The football scene in Baden-Württemberg is gearing up for an exciting Oberliga season, with two local clubs, TSV Singen and FV Ravensburg, ready to make their mark.

TSV Singen, a multicultural club with members from over ten nations, secured promotion to the Oberliga six weeks ago after a hard-fought victory in the playoffs against Holzhausen. Club spokesperson Cengiz Bozkurt is eagerly anticipating the first Sunday of August, when TSV Singen will face Türkspor Neckarsulm in their Oberliga debut. Bozkurt hopes for many local fans to support the team as they embark on this new chapter.

The club, whose name does not stand for 'Turn- and Sportverein', but rather 'Turkish Sports Club', has been through a significant rise in the football ranks in recent years. In 2016, TSV Singen was playing in the Football Kreisliga B. Today, they find themselves in the highest amateur league in Baden-Württemberg, thanks to their determination and hard work.

Parallel to the infrastructure preparations, TSV Singen had to assemble a competitive squad. The squad consists of around 23 players, all from Singen and the surrounding area. New facilities have been added to TSV Singen's stadium, including new toilets, and a building has been rented, renovated, and transformed into a clubhouse. Despite these changes, TSV Singen has only managed to sign a handful of new players, with some departures as well.

On the other hand, FV Ravensburg, a mainstay in the Baden-Württemberg Football Oberliga for many years, has experienced some changes. They have experienced player departures, approximately ten players, and new arrivals, eight new players, including two from their own youth ranks. FV Ravensburg's youth center, completed last year, is intended to prepare young talents for the challenges of the Oberliga.

FV Ravensburg began their Oberliga season with a win against 1. Göppinger SV (3:1). However, their board spokesman, Carlo Horn, aims to establish a position that is "nothing to do with relegation" as soon as possible this season. FV Ravensburg has no immediate ambitions for the Regionalliga, according to Horn.

As the season approaches, both TSV Singen and FV Ravensburg will be focusing on securing a stable position in the league, developing young talent, and building strong team cohesion through pre-season training and friendly matches. The fans in Baden-Württemberg can look forward to an exciting season ahead.

TSV Singen, impressing with their rapid ascend in the football ranks, will commence their Oberliga debut against Türkspor Neckarsulm on the first Sunday of August, seeking support from local fans.

In preparation for the season, FV Ravensburg, a long-standing Oberliga club, has bolstered their squad with eight new players, including two from their youth ranks, while simultaneously addressing player departures.
