Multi-sport event celebrates diversity in Altdorf
On September 27, 2025, the charming town of Altdorf will play host to an exciting and inclusive sports festival, aptly named "Together Active - Sports Festival for All". This event is a collaborative effort between the Kommunale Jugendarbeit des Landkreises Landshut and the Offene Behindertenarbeit des BRK Kreisverband Landshut.
The sports festival will take place at the sports ground of DJK Altdorf, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, offering a diverse range of activities designed to foster exchange and create a welcoming environment for all participants.
One of the highlights of the day will be a participatory yoga performance by the Magic Yogis. For those seeking a more active pursuit, there will be football at Bananenflanke's court, blindbaseball with the Bavarian Bats for blind and visually impaired children and youth, and a creative mix of football and darts called football darts in inclusive family sports.
For the more adventurous, a mobile bouldering wall from Boulderhalle Peak7 will be set up, making climbing accessible to all. The festival will also feature a wheelchair obstacle course, led by Paralympic champion Beate Schaffelhuber, promoting agility and teamwork.
A show match will allow participants to play with experienced players, and non-competitive sports stations will be provided by Special Olympics Bayern. Refreshments will be available at the club's canteen throughout the day.
Regardless of the weather conditions, the event will proceed, ensuring a fun-filled day for everyone. Yoga classes with YogaSprosse-Inklu will also be offered at the festival, providing a relaxing counterpoint to the sports activities.
The communal youth work of the Landshut district is one of the organisers of the sports festival, working alongside the Open Disability Work of the BRK Kreisverband Landshut to create an event that truly lives up to its name: a sports festival for all.
