Last year, Hipop De Loire finished fifth in the Ebor due to traffic issues in the home straight. However, trainer Willie Mullins remains hopeful for better luck this year. Hipop De Loire stayed on into fifth place in the race, four and a half lengths behind the winner, Magical Zoe.
