Among the contenders are Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler, the Olympic silver medalists from Paris. The duo started the tournament in Pool F, but unfortunately, they suffered a loss in their opening match to the English pair Javier and Joaquin Bello. However, they have bounced back and are now set to face the Netherlands' Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot in the Round of 16.
