In the heart of Düsseldorf, the Beach Volleyball European Championship (EM) is underway, and some of the most exciting matches are unfolding.

Among the contenders are Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler, the Olympic silver medalists from Paris. The duo started the tournament in Pool F, but unfortunately, they suffered a loss in their opening match to the English pair Javier and Joaquin Bello. However, they have bounced back and are now set to face the Netherlands' Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot in the Round of 16. Boermans and de Groot, who have already won their debut match, will present a formidable challenge.

Meanwhile, the defending champions Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann are also making their mark in the tournament. They advanced to the Round of 16 after a hard-fought victory in the preliminary round. Their opponents in the second preliminary round were Malgorzata Ciezkowska and Urszula Lunio from Poland, against whom they secured a comfortable win in two sets.

Another team to watch is the newly formed duo of Linda Bock and Louisa Lippmann. Despite a slight hiccup in their first match against Clémence Vieira/Aline Chamereau from France, they managed to recover and win their second preliminary round match. The scores of the match were 21:16 and 23:21, a testament to their resilience. They will now face Claudia Scampoli and Giada Bianchi from Italy in their next match.

In another exciting development, Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler secured a spot in the knockout round of the Beach Volleyball EM in Düsseldorf. They clinched their place with a victory over Yves Haussener/Julian Friedli from Switzerland, with scores of 24:22 and 21:13.
