Mujtaba Aziz Naza to release Dongri Ke Sultan after Dhurandhar 2 cut
Singer Mujtaba Aziz Naza has revealed that his track Dongri Ke Sultan was cut from the final version of Dhurandhar 2. The song, filmed as part of a large celebratory scene, featured Ranveer Singh's character Hamza in an elaborate setup. Naza now plans to release it independently, along with an official video.
The song was shot over a single day with a detailed production. Ranveer Singh and actor Rakesh Bedi appeared in a car, while a live band performed on a moving truck. Director Aditya Dhar, who suggested the track, was present during filming and even guided Naza to play his instrument with a more energetic swing.
Three songs, including Dongri Ke Sultan, were filmed for Dhurandhar 2 but later removed. The final cut retained Aari Aari, Main Aur Tu, Jaiye Sajana, Jaan Se Guzarte Hain and Vaari Jaavan instead. Naza has stated he does not know why the sequence was deleted, as no official explanation has been given.
Despite the setback, Naza remains positive about the experience. He expressed gratitude for collaborating with Singh and Dhar, calling it a valuable opportunity. Since he still owns the rights to Dongri Ke Sultan, he is now preparing to release it on his own.
The independent release of Dongri Ke Sultan will give fans a chance to hear the track as originally intended. Naza's decision to move forward with an official video ensures the song will still reach audiences. The final version of Dhurandhar 2 now features five different musical numbers in its soundtrack.
