MT Melsungen has secured the future of its leading scorer, Florian Drosten, with a contract extension until at least 2028. The 23-year-old left winger has been a standout performer in the Handball Bundesliga, impressing since his full integration into the senior team in 2022.
Drosten’s journey with the club began in 2019 when he joined MT Melsungen’s youth system. He progressed through the ranks, spending a year with the C-Youth before moving up to the B- and A-Youth teams under MT Talents. His professional debut came in the 2021/22 season during a loan spell at ASV Hamm-Westfalen.
The contract extension keeps one of the league’s rising talents at MT Melsungen. Drosten’s development from youth prospect to first-team regular highlights the club’s ability to nurture homegrown players.
