Movie Production Set to Commence in Shillong, Northeastern India, on August 15th for Film Titled "Honeymoon"

The upcoming Bollywood movie "Honeymoon in Shillong" is set to delve into the real-life murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, an Indore-based businessman who met his untimely end during his honeymoon in Meghalaya in May 2025.

Directed by SP Nimbawat, the film aims to portray the intricate narrative surrounding the murder, including the investigation and the subsequent arrests of Raja's wife Sonam and her suspected lover, Raj Kushwaha.

The casting for the movie involves experienced and talented actors, though the specific names have yet to be disclosed publicly. The filming will primarily take place in Indore, to authentically portray Raja’s family environment and context, and in Shillong, Meghalaya, to capture the location's scenic beauty and counter negative perceptions formed after the murder.

The family of Raja Raghuvanshi has given their consent for the film, hoping it will clarify the truth behind the case and rectify the negative image of Meghalaya that emerged following the incident. The movie is expected to focus on the emotional and psychological aspects of betrayal, as well as deliver a societal message against such tragedies.

However, it's worth noting that Vipin, a family member of the slain businessman, has stated that they will not be associated with the movie project.

The shooting for the movie is scheduled to commence on August 15 and is expected to take around three months to complete. The film is currently in production amidst ongoing legal and investigative contexts surrounding the case.
