John Barry's score for Out of Africa and John Williams' score for Schindler's List are among the film scores currently being examined by Howard Goodall. This analysis is part of Goodall's predictions for which film scores will rise higher in the Hall of Fame 2014 Top 300.
Goodall, a renowned British composer and television presenter, will also profile this year's BAFTA nominations and play music by previous winners of BAFTA awards. The film scores under consideration are from the Hall of Fame 2014 Top 300, which includes John Williams's film music compositions for Schindler's List, Star Wars, and Jurassic Park, as well as Howard Shore's score for The Lord of the Rings trilogy, both of which have remained highly acclaimed and featured prominently in recent film music honors.
Other scores being considered include those from Pirates of the Caribbean and Gladiator. The voting for the Hall of Fame 2014 is now getting underway, with the BAFTA nominations set to be revealed on Wednesday.
