Mourning the Departure of DJ Godzi Today
In the latest developments, the family of Michele Noschese, also known as DJ Godzi, has requested a second autopsy following conflicting accounts of his death in Ibiza, Spain. The DJ passed away on July 19, 2025, during a police intervention at his home after reports of erratic and threatening behaviour under the influence of drugs such as cocaine and 2CB.
The initial events unfolded when neighbours reported hearing a girl screaming and saw Noschese jump onto a neighbour’s balcony. Civil Guard agents and neighbourhood security were present at the scene. Noschese was found outside his home and later became uncooperative with police. He died while restrained on a bed with handcuffs.
Forensic examination confirmed the presence of cocaine and 2CB in Noschese’s system. A friend living with him, Raffaele R., described seeing the DJ gasping and dying while restrained, with medical personnel present for about 15 minutes. This testimony supports concerns about the handling of the situation by authorities.
The family has filed a complaint demanding an investigation into the officers for possible homicide, claiming Noschese died in police custody. Official sources have not confirmed this allegation, but it remains a central issue in the inquiry.
The newly performed CT scan and second autopsy revealed fractures and air in the chest, raising suspicions of trauma that could contradict initial accounts. The Italian and Spanish authorities are cooperating, with the Rome prosecutor ordering the seizure of the body for a detailed investigation.
