Stake Us Icon Retires, Leaving a Legacy on the Stud
In a career spanning over two decades, Stake Us Icon, a stallion hailing from Galileo's debut crop, has produced several high-class horses. His offspring include Stake Us Song, Nagano Gold, Chilworth Stake, Czabo, Epsom Stake, Nancy From Nairobi, Stake Us Groove, and the notable Stake Us Icon, his first Classic-winning colt who led a one-two-three for Galileo in the St Leger.
However, Stake Us Icon officially retired from covering duty at the age of 22, an announcement made in the days after the author joined the Racing Post bloodstock desk in 2008.
