On Saturday night, Kher returned from London and shared a heartfelt video about his bond with the late actor, who he worked with in films like De Taali, Chaar Din Ki Chandni, and more.
In the video, Kher recalled the moment he met Mukul after arriving in Mumbai. He described him as a "lively person" whose death had left him "unbelievable, sad and upsetting." Kher acknowledged that while they weren't best friends, they shared a mutual affection for each other.
Kher spoke fondly of Mukul's positive attitude, reminiscing about their conversations, which often revolved around life lessons. He expressed sadness at Mukul asking him to teach him about life, thinking it was too early for such a request.
The actor ended the video by paying tribute to his friend, expressing that the world would miss him. "When we lose someone unexpectedly, the entire world reacts. Life goes on but the pain will stay in a corner of the heart," Kher said.
Mukul Dev was known for his versatile roles in Hindi, Punjabi, and South Indian films and television. He has worked in popular films such as Son of Sardaar, R Rajkumar, and Jai Ho and has appeared in shows like Gharwali Uparwali and Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan. His last film, Son of Sardaar 2, remains unreleased.
