Moukoko Dreams of European Championship Ticket with U21 Team and Chats with Adeyemi

Football prodigy Youssoufa Moukoko is leaving no stone unturned to secure a place in the German national team's quest for the European Championship. After a top-notch performance in the U21 team's 4:1 win against Estonia, Moukoko is eager to maintain his goalscoring form and prove his worth to senior team coach, Julian Nagelsmann.

"Getting the chance to play for the senior team is a dream of every footballer," said the 18-year-old following the U21 team's victory in Paderborn. Moukoko scored for the 12th time in his 10th game, relishing the opportunity to have a full 90 minutes on the pitch.

The teenager boasts an impressive track record, having featured for the senior team at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. But Moukoko is keeping his feet grounded, acknowledging that no one expected him there. Now, he's focused on making the team for a European Championship at home in 2024.

Moukoko's fiery determination has not gone unnoticed, although he's yet to discuss his ambitions with coach Nagelsmann. The senior team faces Turkey on Saturday, and Moukoko will be watching on TV along with his teammates. A win against Poland on Tuesday would undoubtedly boost his chances of securing a place in the team.

Meanwhile, BVB teammate Karim Adeyemi opted against joining the U21 squad after previously representing the team in October. Moukoko talked to him about the game and believes they can celebrate their success with a nice meal afterward.

If Moukoko maintains his stellar performance in the U21 team, his likelihood of joining the senior team for the 2024 European Championship increases significantly. Coach Nagelsmann, known for his keen eye for young talent, could play a pivotal role in recommending Moukoko to the national team management or inviting him for training sessions with the senior squad.

Moukoko's dedication and impressive goalscoring streak for the U21 team can earn him a spot in the senior team, providing he keeps up the consistency and quality of his performances, demonstrats adaptability, reignites coaches' interest in his abilities, and aligns with the team's needs and strategy.
