Motsi Mabuse has revealed a striking weight loss transformation while filming Strictly Come Dancing in Germany. The judge and former dancer credited her new physique to improved nutrition, regular exercise, and strength training. Her journey comes as the show undergoes major changes, including the departure of long-time presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

The BBC has also reshuffled the professional lineup, dropping several dancers ahead of the 2026 season.

Mabuse, who has openly discussed past struggles with her weight, described her motivation as twofold. Menopause played a role, but she also wanted to feel stronger and more prepared for the future. Her recent appearance on set showcased the results—a bold mini dress with a bubble skirt and eye-catching print.

Meanwhile, the Strictly lineup has seen significant cuts. Dancers Luba Mushtuk, Gorka Márquez, Annabel Croft, Giovanni Pernice, and Graziano Di Prima were all removed from the German version of the show, Let's Dance. Mushtuk expressed her shock, calling the decision 'absolutely devastating'. The BBC cited a need for a 'comprehensive refresh' following controversies over misconduct and the upcoming change in hosts.

The shake-up follows Daly and Winkleman's exit, which was announced earlier this year. Their departure triggered a broader overhaul, with new presenters set to take over in 2026. The BBC has not yet named replacements for the axed professionals or the former hosts.

Mabuse's own journey reflects a shift in mindset. After years of fluctuating weight, she now emphasises self-compassion alongside discipline. Her visible progress has drawn attention, even as the show itself faces a period of upheaval.
