Phil Campbell, the legendary guitarist best known for his decades-long role in Motörhead, has died at 64. His passing was confirmed by his band, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons. Fans and fellow musicians are mourning a man remembered as both a rock icon and a devoted family figure.

Campbell joined Motörhead in 1984 and stayed until the band's end in 2015, following the death of frontman Lemmy Kilmister. Over his 31 years with the group, he contributed to 16 studio albums, including their final release, Bad Magic, which topped the German charts in 2015.

After Motörhead disbanded, he launched a solo career and formed Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons. The band continued his musical legacy, blending hard rock with the raw energy he was known for. Away from the stage, Campbell was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Affectionately called 'Bampi' by his family, he was described as a warm and loving presence by those closest to him.
