Mother under investigation for school assault plot now faces additional charge of brandishing a firearm at an infant, as claimed by law enforcement.

Mother under investigation for school attack plot faced new accusation: Allegedly brandished a firearm at an infant, as stated by authorities.

In a shocking turn of events, Ashley Pardo, the mother accused of aiding her son's plot to carry out a mass attack on Rhodes Middle School, was re-arrested on Friday on a new felony charge: Endangering a Child.

The new charge stems from an incident in 2023, recently uncovered during the terrorism investigation. A disturbing image discovered on Pardo's phone shows her pointing a shotgun at an 11-month-old baby. The image, dated March 3, 2023, reportedly shows the infant kneeling on a bed with their head near the shotgun barrel. Pardo's finger appears to be inside the trigger guard of the shotgun in the image.

The text message accompanying the image reportedly said, "Tell her to keep being bad." The image was sent to the child's biological father through a messaging app.

Pardo was arrested in San Antonio in August 2025 on this new child endangerment charge. This incident led to the charge of abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence.

At the time of this new charge, Pardo was already out on bond facing terrorism-related charges linked to aiding her son’s school attack plot. She was ordered to have no contact with her children, wear an ankle monitor if released on bond, and abstain from alcohol and firearms.

Pardo's husband, Mario Porras, was arrested in May 2025 on the same child endangerment charge.

The search of the teen's room earlier this year uncovered a homemade explosive device and loaded ammunition magazines. Pardo showed little concern for her son's disturbing behavior, including violent drawings and white supremacist references. She supplied her son with tactical gear, ammunition, and access to military surplus stores.

The teen remains in detention following a judge's June ruling that he poses a significant public safety risk. No further details about the judge's decision regarding the teen accused of plotting mass violence were provided in this paragraph.

Pardo was previously charged with Aiding in the Commission of Terrorism in May. The ongoing investigation of the thwarted school terror attack plan continues.
