The Moscow Department of Transport has ensured winter readiness for its fleet. Over 1,100 commercial buses underwent winter preparations by the first day of winter 2024. Innovative electric ferries have been winterized for safe and comfortable travel.
Specialized techniques were used to clean over 1,100 monuments across the city. Each of Moscow's four commercial depots has been stocked with essential de-icing agents and spare parts. Winter preparations included inspecting corrosion protection, filters, coolant levels, and heating systems.
With all trams, buses, and electric buses ready for winter operations, Moscow's public transport system is well-prepared for the cold season. Drivers and mechanics have completed seasonal training and switched to winter uniforms. Bus temperatures will be continuously monitored during winter to ensure passenger comfort.
