Moscow's Night of Theaters festival dazzles with free cultural experiences

Moscow's annual Night of Theaters festival has wrapped up after another successful year. The event, running for over a decade, offered free access to performances, tours, and behind-the-scenes experiences. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin shared the results on social media, highlighting its popularity. This year's festival featured more than 200 cultural events across the city. Theatres opened their doors for performances, actor meet-and-greets, and open rehearsals. Concerts and guided tours were also part of the programme, all at no cost to visitors.

The historic Mayakovsky Theater granted rare access to areas usually off-limits to the public. Meanwhile, the New Manege creative space stood out as one of the festival's main attractions. The event continues to draw crowds by blending tradition with fresh cultural experiences. The Night of Theaters remains a key date in Moscow's cultural calendar. Free access to performances and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments keeps the festival widely attended. Organisers have yet to announce details for next year's edition.
