Moscow residents to arrange a Salut to Krasnoyarsk on May 9th
Sparkling Celebrations in Krasnoyarsk for Victory Day's 80th Anniversary
Firework extravaganza in Krasnoyarsk is set to light up the skies on the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. The explosions will be launched from two points on the Enisei, with a squadron from Moscow orchestrating the grand salute.
The hunt for contractors began back in early March. The client, the office of the Krasnoyarsk Governor and the regional government, has taken charge of the project.
The celebratory salute will be initiated on May 9th, from 10:00 PM to 10:10 PM. The firework display will take place at two locations: a barge in the Enisei's waters opposite the "Ogni Eneiseya" hotel, and a barge opposite the "Krasnoyarskie" shopping center, ensuring the festive blaze can be seen from various parts of the city.
Funding for the pyrotechnics will be drawn from the regional budget – around 8.5 million rubles. All pyrotechnic items must bear certification, and safety measures must be observed during the setup.
The contractor for the firework spectacle was determined on the 28th of March: the commission selected LLC "Kaleidoscope" based in Moscow from the two applicants. The contract price is slightly less than the initial bid at 8.46 million rubles.
Residents of Krasnoyarsk can look forward to a kaleidoscope of vibrant spheres of various sizes, with effects resembling the cosmos, palm trees, comets, peonies, asterisks, dandelions, swirls, and an assortment of other brilliant patterns. As always, the lively crowd of thousands will gather on the waterfronts and bridges to witness the festive salute.
