Moscow received a warning for unfavorable nighttime weather conditions
Heading: Moscow Weather Alert: Heavy Snowfall & Freezing Temperatures Predicted
Swear words: Bloody hell, this weather's a fucking mess, ain't it?
It's about bloody time Moscow gets a taste of winter again, 'cause tonight, the city's gonna be hit with wet snow, making visibility a downright piss-poor 600-1000 meters. That's what RIA Novosti tells us, and Evgeny Tishkovets, the leading specialist at the weather center "Fobos," backs it up, saying the snow will fall alongside some rain by midnight.
Over the next 24 hours, Moscow can expect up to 19-24 mm of precipitation, which is more than a third of the monthly norm. Yep, that's right. Winter's here a bit early, and it's going to be a doozy.
Tishkovets predicts that temperatures in the Moscow region will plummet to 0 - +3°C, with light frosts and ice expected in the Upper Volga region overnight. Not only that, but snow cover will freaking appear in the north of Moscow Oblast, with Taldom expecting up to 3-6 cm of snow. Dmitrov, Sergiev Posad, and Volokolamsk may see up to 6-9 cm, while Klin could catch up to 12-15 cm. It's not impossible that a symbolic, 1-2 cm of snow cover could show up in Moscow by Friday morning, but it'll likely melt away.
Meanwhile, on May 2, a cyclone will cause a ruckus in the Volga and Volga-Vyatka regions, with the unsettled weather in Central Russia expected to clear by midday Friday. Temperatures in Moscow are expected to stay a frosty +6-9°C, which is 7°C below the climatic norm for early May.
Funny bit, ice unexpectedly started melting in the north of the Khabarovsk Krai. Go figure.
