Rehabilitation Project Aims to Boost Tourism and Security on Tres Marias Toll Highway

The government of Morelos, in partnership with the Secretariat of Infrastructure, has proposed a rehabilitation project for the lateral stretch of the Mexico-Cuernavaca toll highway passing through Tres Mariás, located in the municipality of Huitzilac.

According to the Secretary of Tourism, Daniel Altafi Valladares, the objective of this project is to strengthen visitor's confidence in Tres Mariás and position it as an accessible and orderly gastronomic destination. The project includes infrastructure works, lighting, facelifting, tourist promotion, and the incorporation of service providers into the State and National Tourism Registry.

The Morelos Tourism Trust (FITUR) will invest in billboards, graphic image, and territorial identity for promotion. A participatory campaign is planned to position Tres Mariás as a tourist reference. The project also includes actions of facelifting through the federal Magical Routes of Color program and rules to avoid bad practices such as the indiscriminate sale of alcohol.

It is important to note that this rehabilitation project is not related to any police shootings in Jerécuaro, Guanajuato, nor does it involve the rehabilitation of the Tres Marias gastronomic corridor's specific objectives or the involvement of the Secretariat of Infrastructure and the Magical Routes of Color program.

The project's main aim is to provide greater security to those who transit through the area and boost tourism in the northern zone of the state. Constant robberies of motorists are registered on the highway stretch of the Mexico-Cuernavaca toll road in Huitzilac, making this project crucial for the safety and well-being of travellers.

The Secretary of Tourism reiterated the government's commitment to the rehabilitation project for Tres Mariás, aiming to strengthen tourism in the region and encourage economic growth. For the most updated and detailed information on this topic, we recommend checking local Mexican government press releases or official websites from the Secretariat of Infrastructure or the Magical Routes of Color program.

  1. The rehabilitation project in Tres Marias, encompassing infrastructure, promotion, and security measures, is also anticipated to significantly impact the politics surrounding the region's general-news.
  2. As the proposed rehabilitation project in Tres Marias aims to enhance tourism and security on the toll highway, it is vital for updates regarding the States' politics and general-news in this area to be closely monitored.
