Monta's AI Assistant Fixes EV Charging Issues in Real Time
Monta, a fast-growing software provider for charging infrastructure, has launched an AI-powered assistant to improve electric vehicle charging. The technology aims to resolve common issues in real time, reducing driver frustration and cutting operational costs. Company leaders say this move will help speed up the shift to sustainable mobility. Many drivers face problems when charging their electric vehicles. Issues like sudden interruptions or authorisation failures often leave them stranded. Monta's new Monta AI Driver Support system analyses these faults instantly and takes action.
The AI-powered voice assistant can identify the cause of a malfunction, restart the charging process, or carry out other fixes. Currently, 77% of support calls are handled fully autonomously by the system. This is more than twice as fast as a human agent would manage. Felix Rathke, Head of Sales for the DACH region at Monta, believes smoother charging experiences will boost trust in e-mobility. Meanwhile, Max Scherer, the company's Chief Operating Officer, stresses that reliable infrastructure is key to the wider mobility transition. For charging network operators, the benefits include higher availability of charging points and significantly lower running costs. Monta's partners can now build and run economically viable networks, supporting the shift away from fossil fuels.
The new AI system resolves most charging issues without human intervention. Operators gain cost savings and improved reliability, while drivers experience fewer disruptions. Monta's technology is designed to make electric mobility more practical and dependable for users.
