India is currently experiencing an active monsoon phase, with multiple low-pressure systems and western disturbances driving the rainfall activity across the country. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings and advisories for various regions, urging residents to stay updated and exercise caution.

Starting from the Northwest, regions such as Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, and East Uttar Pradesh are expected to experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next few days. In Jammu & Kashmir, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is forecasted from July 16 to 21, while Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand can expect isolated heavy rainfall during the same period. The state of Uttarakhand is also predicted to experience very heavy rainfall on July 17, 20, and 21. Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, and East Uttar Pradesh are expected to see isolated heavy rainfall from July 16 to 21.

In East & Central India, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh are likely to experience isolated heavy rainfall. Bihar is particularly at risk due to a well-marked low-pressure area over north Jharkhand and south Bihar. Jharkhand can expect isolated heavy rainfall, especially on July 16, while Odisha may experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall. Madhya Pradesh is predicted to see very heavy rainfall in west Madhya Pradesh on July 18 and in east Madhya Pradesh on July 16 and 17.

In West India, regions such as Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra are set for enhanced rainfall activity. Heavy rainfall is expected in Konkan and Goa on July 20 and 21, with lighter rainfall in intervening days. South Konkan and Goa may even experience heavy to very heavy showers. Madhya Maharashtra is expected to see heavy rainfall in ghat areas on July 20 and 21.

Apart from rainfall, hot and humid conditions are predicted in isolated pockets of Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh on July 16th, while temperatures will remain below normal by 1-4°C, providing some relief from the July heat. Southern India, particularly Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, is set for enhanced rainfall activity for the next five days. Strong surface winds (40-50 kmph) are likely across the coastal and southern peninsular belt.

Delhi is expected to see cloudy skies, light rain, and cooler-than-normal temperatures over the next four days. Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram & Tripura will experience isolated heavy rainfall from the 16th to the 21st. The IMD has warned of occasional weather hazards such as thunderstorms, gusty winds, and possible flooding in vulnerable areas.

Residents in high-alert zones are urged to stay updated and exercise caution, as the active monsoon season continues to bring widespread rainfall and thunderstorms to various regions of India.

Weather-forecasting indicates that several regions in India are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned residents in Northwest regions such as Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, and East Uttar Pradesh to stay updated and exercise caution due to isolated heavy to very heavy rainfalls predicted from July 16 to 21.
