A Mourned Loss at the Almaty Zoo: The Passing of Tоmiris, the Chimpanzee Predictor
Gather 'round, folks, as we share a bittersweet tale from the Almaty zoo. Our beloved chimpanzee, Tоmiris, who once boldly predicted the World Cup winner, has left us.
"Our hearts are heavy with sorrow, friends. Unfortunately, we bid farewell to our cherished Tоmiris. She lost her fight against cancer, despite the best efforts of the world's top specialists. Losing her is a gut-wrenching experience. Tоmiris was adored by everyone at the zoo! Her spirit was vibrant, and she had a knack for creativity that manifested in her beautiful paintings. Music and cuddles with her 'mom' were her delight, too. We're asking for your support in this tough time, as Tоmiris will forever be in our hearts and memories," the zoo's lively Instagram account echoes.
Back in 2014, Tоmiriсmiraculously predicted the World Cup winner. It's still a mystery how she chose, but she picked Germany's flag over Argentina's, and we all know who took the trophy that year—the German team, with a score of 1:0.
Though Tоmiris may no longer be with us, her memory will endure in our hearts and minds. We mourn her loss and celebrate the joy she brought to us during her time here.
