Monitoring center verifies preparedness of voting stations in Nizhny Novgorod region for public elections

In the heart of Nizhny Novgorod, School No. 188 is gearing up to play a significant role in the upcoming election. The school houses four voting stations—No. 2697, 2709, 2710, and 2711—which together cater to over 8,000 voters.

The "InfoVote" project, launched in the Nizhny Novgorod region on August 15, is playing a crucial part in ensuring a smooth and transparent election process. The project involves canvassers delivering invitations to voters, informing them about the location, time, and methods of voting.

Elena Morozova, an employee of the Nizhny Novgorod regional election commission, expressed her satisfaction with the project's progress. She mentioned that the Public Monitoring Headquarters for Elections will continue inspecting the readiness of voting stations in the region for the vote.

The inspection conducted at voting stations located in School No. 188 focused on preparations for the upcoming vote for voters with disabilities. Elena Lenina, deputy chairperson of the Public Chamber of the Nizhny Novgorod region, expressed her satisfaction with the voting conditions for people with mobility issues. Separate entrances, a toilet, and an elevator are provided for wheelchair users, with approximately 120 people with disabilities registered to vote in these stations.

To further promote transparency, Lenina also mentioned the creation of conditions for public observers, including Wi-Fi for stable communication with the Public Monitoring Headquarters. Staff from the local election commissions and volunteers will be on duty near the elevator during the three days of voting.

The "InfoVote" project supports a more informed electorate in the Nizhny Novgorod region, contributing to a smoother and more transparent election experience. The project aims to improve voter awareness and engagement, ensure easy access to official and up-to-date election information, and promote fairness and openness in the electoral process.

With the "InfoVote" project in operation and preparations underway at School No. 188, the stage is set for a successful and transparent election in Nizhny Novgorod.
