"We extend our congratulations to the newly-elected Pope Leo XIV," the official message from the palace proclaims. The regal family felt captivated by the peace message of the church's latest chief: “His appeal for harmony resonates with us, motivates us, and symbolizes the deep yearnings and sentiments of the Spanish populace.”

The Catholic Church's Momentous Event

On May 8, the American Robert Prevost sauntered into history as the fresh leader of the Catholic Church, succeeding the late Pope Francis (1936-2025), who tragically passed on April 21. During his inaugural speech on St. Peter's Basilica's balcony, the new popiah, among other declarations, implored for global tranquility.
