Monaco's Princess Charlene Exhibits Her Golf Skills in a White Lace Gown
In a heartfelt display, Princess Charlene of Monaco recently participated in the ceremonial 19th hole of the Princess of Monaco Cup, an event organised by her own foundation. The tournament serves as a fundraiser for the foundation's initiatives, including promoting youth sports and water safety - a cause close to the Princess's heart.
Princess Charlene wore a sleek, bespoke white lace dress by Elie Saab, reminiscent of the glamorous history of Monaco. The dress, with a shape similar to that of Princess Grace Kelly and a pale shade resembling the Monaco flag, was a fitting choice for the occasion. She accessorised the outfit with Jimmy Choo's Amita 85 pumps, featuring delicate pearl button details.
The ensemble was not typical golf gear but was suitable for the party and charity auction that followed. The golf balls used for the final hole were made of compressed cotton to avoid damage to the historic Place du Casino nearby.
Princess Charlene emphasised the importance of learning to swim, stating that it should be a fundamental right, just like learning to read. She opened up about a tragic childhood drowning of a cousin that inspired her dedication to promoting swimming lessons. She also highlighted that cost should never be a barrier to acquiring a life-saving skill.
Prince Albert was present at the event and played golf with Princess Charlene. The event was reported by Lauren Hubbard, a freelance writer and Town & Country contributor who covers various topics including beauty, shopping, entertainment, travel, home decor, wine, and cocktails.
The event took place over the weekend, marking another successful fundraiser for the Princess Charlene Foundation, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people and promoting water safety.
