District Kelheim:Across District Kelheim, 2,343 individuals were registered as unemployed in May 2025, a decrease of 110 (-5%) from April's numbers but a 197 (+9%) increase compared to the same month last year. The unemployment rate for the district now stands at 3.1%, marking a 0.2 percentage point decrease from April. A year ago, it was 2.9%.
City of Regensburg:In the City of Regensburg, the unemployment rate dropped by 23 (-1%) individuals to 4,686 compared to April. While this shows a decrease in recent months, the numbers reflect a 840 (+22%) increase compared to May 2024. The unemployment rate currently stands at 4.8%, a 0.2 percentage point decrease from the prior month, and up from 4.1% a year earlier.
Landkreis Regensburg:Landkreis Regensburg experienced a decrease of 41 (-1%) individuals in unemployment compared to April, with a total of 3,453 people now recorded as unemployed. Despite this decrease, the region exhibits a 581 (+20%) increase when comparing numbers to May 2024. The unemployment rate now sits at 2.9%, a 0.1 percentage point decrease from April, and a slight increase from the 2.5% rate recorded a year ago.
