In an intimate interview prep session with presiding moderator, Christian Duran, the contestants were given a gut check for the crawling claws of the media beast VIP world. Duran aimed to push the models' buttons with some low-blow questions, probing them for the dirt and attempting to squeeze more personal details than a colonic enema. He fires questions like daggers at Magdalena, calling her a whiner for the season; slaps down Daniela as an insignificant puddle of water; and labels Aaliyah as a blabbermouth gossip. Duran also didn't hold back on critiquing the social media accounts of the candidates, deeming Elio's topless vids as cocky and self-absorbed. After grueling grilling from Duran, the models were thrown to the wolves with interrogations from Tanja May of the "Bild" newspaper and Stephanie Gottmann-Fuchs from the "Bunte" magazine, digging deep into the contestants' darkest secrets. Canel opens up about her troubled childhood with an abusive, druggie pa, Magdalena whispers her eating disorder past, Daniela spills the beans on her virginity, and Elio blurts out he's a registered sperm donor, giving the press ammo they didn't expect.
For the photoshoot, our beautiful contestants were paired off, boy-girl duos snuggling under the sheets in a flick of ardor (...and other things) on a bed that was set atop one of those rolling trailers, cruising the busy streets of Lost Wages. Yeah, they done this in-your-face shoot before for the anniversary season back in the day, but it's sexy as shit for a redo. Rankin, the pro photographer capturing hot shots, demands, "It needs to be a passion-filled, declarative image. You gotta look like you're crazy for each other." Daniela and Moritz, in a sloppy kiss, score the highest with Rankin, who proclaims, "It was uncomfortable as hell at first, but in the end, it clicked." Canel and Elio, as well as Zoe and Pierre, also get a piece of that loving pie. Magdalena and Jannik, though, keep it vanilla, maintaining their distance for the camera.
Weekly Fiasco Frenzy
A sneaky argument from the previous round sets tensions boiling over. In the model loft family visit, the rooms were shuffled around: Kevin and Moritz hijacked Aaliyah's space with their kith and kin. The bitch, Aaliyah, admits to the mess and sloppy bathroom conditions, leaving Kevin in a cleaning frenzy, furious as a hornet sting. "That damn scene was disgusting! I spent two hours scrubbing things clean, you ungrateful Judas!" the 24-year-old belts out. Aaliyah claps back, calling Kevin a phony and disrespectful jackal. Zoe also gets her fair share of criticism as Kevin accuses her of inappropriate behavior despite having a boyfriend. He doesn't say what that precisely means, but you can bet your soul it ain't pretty. The rift between Kevin and Aaliyah gets wider when it comes to the photoshoot, forcing them to pair up. Kevin gripes, "I didn't want to do it. I wasn't feelin' it. It was a mess." Rankin cooly assesses the shot, "It looks bland as toast. That was tough as nails."
The Special Guests
The Designer with Bling, Christian Cowan, Shows up with Pizzazz.
Cowan dresses the models for the final walk, and our beloved Zoe, a devout fan of his designs, gleefully admits she signed up for GNTM just to wear one of his masterpieces. Cowan is flattered and honored by Zoe's devotion. Moritz also sparks Cowan's interest, who says, "There's no denying Moritz will slay at the game. He just needs to toughen up and project some dominance. That'll happen in time." The stage is set for a fashion showdown, with the runway situated in a lush park, turning slick after a tad of rain. Pierre, Aaliyah, and Magdalena dodge puddles and nearly experience a wipeout, but recover like champs. Canel struts her stuff like a victor, and the jury praises her performance.
Time to Say Goodbye
Due to a subpar effort in the photoshoot and the catwalk, Aaliyah and Kevin found themselves on the chopping block for elimination, clashing heads, and fumbling in the photoshoot. Rankin spoke his piece, "Y'all came across as if you wanted to strangle one another in the picture. I'm disappointed as hell." Aaliyah took her elimination like a champ, "I never thought I would make it this far. It was an unforgettable experience, and I'm proud of myself." Kevin revealed his sorrow, "I made it to the final five. Of course, I thought I could do better, but the competition ends for someone, and it ended for me. My heart's a bit broken. I need some time to grieve at home."
