Frederik Braun, co-founder of the popular model railway exhibition Miniatur Wunderland, has released a song titled 'Bildschirmblick' (Screen Stare) to raise awareness about mindful smartphone use. The track, currently ranked number five in Germany's official midweek charts, aims to reach the Top 20 in the official German single charts on Friday.

Braun and his wife have branded the project 'Generation B', with the lyrics serving as a reflection of current times. The song's lyrics include criticisms of excessive smartphone use, such as 'I scroll through my life, miss the whole day' and 'We post feelings with filters and shine. But talk? Nah, mate—no chance!'

Miniatur Wunderland, founded in 2001 by Braun and his brother, is a model railway exhibition that attracted nearly 1.6 million visitors in 2024. Braun, who is also a musician, hopes to use his platform to encourage people to look up from their screens and engage more in real-life interactions.
