MMA Star Facing Imprisonment for the Second Time: Previous History Includes Strangling an Ex-Partner on Channel 4.

A notorious MMA fighter, Demornia Cantrill, is back in court trouble after a drug bust.

Remember Demornia Cantrill from the Channel 4 show, Kicked Out Kids, where he opened up about his past in foster care and a desire to break free from the stereotype of being a drug dealer or prison inmate? Well, it seems he's facing a prison sentence again, set for July.

Cantrill, now 28, has admitted to possessing class A diamorphone (a prescription-only opioid) with intent to supply and possession of cannabis. His questionable dealings with these substances have put him on a collision course with the law once more.

This isn't Cantrill's first brush with the law. Back in 2020, he landed behind bars for attacking his ex-girlfriend at her residence. Tyra Campbell was left choking and terrified, with the assailant casually taunting her, "Snitches get stitches." Cantrill was serving a community order due to previous assaults on his own mother and the police at the time.

Cantrill entered the foster care system as a baby and left at 17 to pursue a career in MMA fighting. He also spent two years in the army and briefly worked as a teaching assistant before his illegal activities gained public attention.

In his latest court hearing at Plymouth Crown Court, Judge Robert Linford acknowledged Cantrill's name and recalled the television program about him. Cantrill shared that he is a part of a boxing club in Manchester, aiming to help kids handle problems without resorting to violence, as opposed to the use of knives or guns.

For now, Cantrill remains in custody awaiting his sentencing.
