Prochazka, on the other hand, is wilder and more unpredictable, a strategy that could have proved beneficial as he strived to avoid a straight-up kickboxing contest.
It was Pereira's superior technique and calculated aggression that enabled him to claim victory, securing a unanimous decision win, ending Prochazka's quest to regain the title he'd held briefly before injury derailed his plans. The scores were 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46 in Pereira's favor, making him the new UFC light heavyweight champion.
