Minsk proceeds with disassembling iconic landmarks
The iconic "Super-8" and "Ladya" attractions at Chizhevsky Park in Minsk, Belarus, are set for retirement. According to the city's State Industrial Safety Committee, these vintage rides have passed their prime and won't be around much longer.
The "Super-8" and "Ladya" have been serving thrill-seekers since who knows when, but their time has finally come to an end. safety checks have revealed that both attractions have already clock in more than their designated service life, making it necessary for them to be dismantled by 2025.
New regulations dictate that each attraction can only last for three full service lives before it reaches the point of no return.
Joining the ranks of temporarily folded attractions are the "Children's Ferris Wheel" in Gorky Park and the "Little Swings" in Chizhevsky Park. Because they too have failed safety inspections, they're currently undergoing essential repairs.
