Minnie Hauk 7-2 Favorite for Arc After Late Entry

Minnie Hauk, a triple Group 1 winner, has been supplemented for the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, with Coolmore paying the €120,000 late entry fee. The filly, trained by André Fabre, is now the 7-2 favorite, having started the week as an outsider. She will be ridden by Christophe Soumillon in the prestigious race.

Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Minnie Hauk's main rival, Los Angeles, has no plans to add further runners to the Arc. Los Angeles will be ridden by Wayne Lordan, while Whirl is set for the Prix de l'Opera. O'Brien believes Minnie Hauk's progressive nature and the time of year play in her favor, despite the weight concession between the two fillies. He is not surprised by the weight difference, stating 'anything can happen in a race'. Fillies have won the Arc ten times in the last 17 runnings, with Minnie Hauk aiming to join the likes of Zarkava, Danedream, Treve, and Enable as an Arc-winning three-year-old filly.

Minnie Hauk, now the 7-2 favorite, will face Los Angeles in the Arc, with both fillies carrying different weights. O'Brien believes Minnie Hauk's progress and the timing of the race work in her favor. If successful, she will join an elite group of Arc-winning three-year-old fillies.
