Politician Amobi Ogah Accuses Minister Nkeiruka Onyejeocha of Forging Election Results
Minister of Tinubu Replies to Accusation of Falsifying Election Outcome
Rep. Amobi Ogah (LP-Abia) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to scrutinize Minister Nkeiruka Onyejeocha over alleged forgery of 2023 election results.
In a petition submitted to INEC headquarters, Ogah, who represents Isikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia in the House of Representatives, claims that Onyejeocha manipulated polling unit results in the National Assembly elections to challenge Ogah’s victory.
Ogah, also the Chairman of the House Committee on AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, contends that both INEC staff and the courts rejected the forged documents.
Onyejeocha and Ogah were competitors for the Isuikwuato/Umunnecochi Federal Constituency seat during the 2023 general elections.
In response to these allegations, Senior Adviser Femi Oluwagbemi declared them false and determined as the work of detractors.
This controversy has stirred conversation around the electoral process, with many questioning the transparency of the election outcomes.
