Minister Explores Resort Regions Without Implementing Essential Rules for Visitors
In Kazakhstan, the Ministry's powers are being considered for improvement to better address tourism issues, particularly in the region of Konaev. However, there is no documented information in publicly accessible online travel, news, or hospitality sources about stricter standards, enhanced control, or improved coordination for beaches in Konaev.
The lack of basic tourist facilities such as sanitary and hygienic facilities, shower cabins, bins, buoys, barriers, and lifeguard towers is a significant concern in Konaev. Yerbol Myrzabosynov, the head of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, is conducting working visits to regions to assess the state of resort areas and identify problem areas.
One of the upcoming projects aimed at improving the tourism sector in Konaev is the "ASP Arena" project, scheduled for 2025-2027. This project covers an area of 7.1 hectares and includes the construction of a hotel, water park, amusement park, spa complex, and other facilities, expected to create around 350 jobs.
Environmental tourism culture remains a pertinent issue, with this aspect being included in the agenda of the nationwide "Clean Kazakhstan" campaign. However, environmental issues, such as the fluctuating water level of Alakol Lake causing infrastructure displacement, continue to pose challenges.
Water transport activities in Konaev are sometimes unregulated, and water safety rules are violated. Local executive bodies are responsible for considering shoreline mobility, setting up protective zones, and educating the public in areas like Alakol, Kapshagai, and Balakhash.
Vice-Premier Ermek Kosherbaev emphasized the need for scientific and engineering support during the construction of new facilities and consideration of natural factors. Following Tokayev's criticism, an emergency meeting was held on the shore of Alakol, and Kosherbaev is touring regions to address the issues.
For precise details on the regulatory or administrative developments in beach management or environmental controls for Konaev, it would be best to consult official Kazakhstan government environmental or tourism departments directly. It is essential to ensure that Kazakhstan's tourism industry meets the expectations of modern tourists, and improvements are necessary to develop infrastructure and maintain environmental sustainability.
