** Promising Talents Timo and Fabio Kose Depart Eisbären Regensburg for Frankfurt Lions**

In a surprising turn of events, the Regensburg Ice Bears have announced the departure of twins Timo and Fabio Kose to the Frankfurt Lions in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) for the upcoming season. Initially, it was anticipated that the siblings would continue playing for the Ice Bears via a development license.

The 18-year-old brothers, who rose from the U-20 DNL team of the parent club EV Regensburg last season, have made a significant impact on the professional team. Timo Kose, a forward, played in 41 games and scored four goals with seven assists for a total of 11 points. Fabio Kose, a defender, played 29 games and notched three assists.

In light of underlying agreements, the delay in announcing their departure was due to the Ice Bears' decision to invest in other young players, according to their statement. As a result, Timo and Fabio Kose are being released, as the development license option will not be renewed or maintained by the club.

With a towering stature of around 1.90 meters and a fearless playing style, the native Niederbayerns impressively made it into Germany's second-highest senior league, while continuing to excel in the DNL team. Last season, Fabio Kose accumulated 52 goal involvements in 27 games, while Timo recorded 34 in just 15 games.

During their two years in Regensburg, the brothers were also repeatedly called up to various German youth national teams (U17, U18, and U20). Most recently, they were part of the DEB squad at the U18 World Championship in the USA. Their outstanding performances captured the attention of scouts from the DEL and even the NHL, generating buzz at the Regensburg Danube Arena.
