In the scrappy Tuesday Bowling League'12 at the Universal Bowling Center under the banner of Alyoum-FBGR, Minions and Abdullah Amoudi turned heads, respectively claiming Best Team and Best Bowler of the Week trophies.
Dong Yamco's Minions dusted Manny Dolon's newly formed Almarai CPP team 21-0. Shawn Ricketts steered the Minions ship with a whopping 872 points, while Jao Urbano and Koko Torres contributed 792 and 640 points each. The Minions' army marched on, with Yamco adding 393, Hydee Urbano 390, Bong Solomon 383, and Romy Repia 371. The forlorn Almarai CPP team's best scorers were Tony Barcoma 743, Manny Dolon 583, Ranilo Paderma 577, and Eduardo Salivio 546.
UBC Family, under the leadership of Lulu Quejada, outmaneuvered Charlie Cheng's Dabarkadz 21-4. Abdullah Amoudi, our sparkling Saudi ace, took home the Best Bowler of the Week award with a high series of 894. The UBC ensemble shone equally bright with marvelous efforts from Bembol Velasco (774), Celis Viloria (426), Yasser Aburaish (419), Lulu Quejada (387), and Dennis Gabriel (340). Dabarkadz's torchbearers Angel Caasi and Donjie Mapalad had 725 and 355, respectively.
Nelson De Vera's T3S Warrior squad pummeled defending champion Tsamba Bowlers 16-8. Edgar Buenaventura, Joel Lambo, and Arnold Jesena powered the T3S Warrior's onslaught. The rest of the league saw UFTBR of Armin Isles overpower TGIT Genesis of Rollie Cleofe 18-12, Enigma Strikers edging out IBG Storm 15-14, and Breakers collapsing against Bandar Al-Marshad's Enigma Strikers 19-10.
As of now, team rankings for week 2 suggest T3S Warrior leading the pack with 36 points, followed closely by UBC Family with 33 points. The rest of the top 10 includes UFTBR, Enigma Strikers, EPO-L, Minions, IBG Storm, TGIT (Genesis), Breakers, Proshop Strikers, Alyoum, and Dabarkadz.
